A moisture measurement gathers information about moisture within or on a material. The meaning of a result depends on method, material, measurement location and conditions. An isolated number is therefore not a complete explanation of a leak or moisture problem.
During investigation, ask how the measurement was taken and which conclusion it supports. Record location and date so later results are not compared without context. Connect readings with other findings rather than presenting them independently as proof of one particular cause.
