A roof dossier is an organised collection of roof information, including drawings, reports, investigation findings and completed work. Its purpose is to keep information transferable. A large folder without identifiable roof-area names or dates is therefore not automatically a useful record.

Keep observations, decisions and actions separate. Retain original documents alongside summaries and make current unresolved questions visible. A new manager can then understand what is actually known and which assumptions have not yet been confirmed through investigation of the building.

The local planner can provide one preliminary document but maintains no permanent archive. Input disappears on reload. You decide whether to download a text summary and where to retain it within your own management structure alongside actual inspection reports and work records.
